TOS-1 T-72, and which in the best-known variant consists of a launch assembly with 30 rocket tubes (in the original system the name was Ob.634 or TOS-1M); creating a reduced capacity version of 24 projectiles (Ob.634B or TOS-1A) which is a multiple rocket launcher, whose rockets usually carry thermobaric warheads. The system originally saw action in the Battle of the Panjshir Valley, during the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan. The TOS-1 was displayed for the first time in public at a military parade in 1999 in the city of Omsk.
